Think In Ink Club

Are you at all interested in the creative writing process or pursuing a career in journalism? If so you should definitely check out the Think in Ink Club. The club is centered around the process of creative writing.  At the beginning of the meeting you are given a prompt, for example, a past prompt was to create a character/Villain, then you are given about 20 minutes to write and then during the last 10 minutes of the meeting you can share with the rest of the group. You volunteer to share your story and you are encouraged to but not pressured.  It is every other Wednesday at lunch in Ms. Thornbrue classroom 113.  Meet in the room when you normally go to lunch.

There is food provided at every meeting as well. You can also bring your own food and eat while you work. This is a good way to share your writing talents and abilities without feeling the pressure that is so well-known in every English class. If you participate in the Think in Ink Club you are participating for yourself and for fun, not for a grade!

It is also a great way to get to know people who have the same interest in writing as you do! You can meet lots of great people and friends in the class.  The club has one president and four other vice presidents and is run by Thornbrue. The club has been going for strong for 8 years and has produced many great character writers.

When asked why she recommended the club, Thornbrue said that it is low stress and it gives you the opportunity to be creative and try new things. She also included, “for anyone who loves words and food.” so if this pertains to you, check out the Think in Ink club.  This is a great opportunity and you will get lots of writing experience that will help make you a better writer, so, if you have any interest in this you’re very encouraged to join the Think in Ink Club! It is a no pressure club that is fun and great for your creative mind.
