Megan Fox and MatPat have been chosen to play two of the characters in the new Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 movie. MatPat will be playing the animatronic character Toy Bonnie, while Fox will be playing the animatronic character Toy Chica. Both of these characters are a part of the main cast, which has sparked different emotions from different people. 

“I think it’s interesting. Some of the choices I feel were good. One of them, maybe a little strange,” says Blaze Bailey, a Sophomore at Skyline High School.

MatPat is a well known YouTuber who makes videos of different theories on different movies, video games, etc. He has made many very popular videos of different theories he has had about the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise. He retired from making videos in Spring 2024, leaving many fans heartbroken. “I think it’s grand to have MatPat back in the franchise,” says Ahtyana Afu, a Senior at Skyline. 

Fox is a well known actress. She has had many significant roles. She is well known for her roles as Banes in Transformers and Jennifer Check in Jennifer’s Body. The casting of Fox in the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 movie has left many people confused and asking questions. “I just think that’s pretty random. Megan Fox is a total random pick, but whatever, it’s their vision,” says Afu.

The casting of Fox has split fans in half. Some are interested to see what she can do with the characters, while others believe that Fox does not belong in this franchise. “I think that was a strange choice, especially with the community and stuff like that,” shares Bailey. 

However, the casting of MatPat has delighted fans. They are happy that he is back to being involved with the franchise. Jokes have been made about MatPat’s character, Toy Bonnie, saying “Welcome to Game Theory,” as that’s the phrase Matpat would use to start his videos. “He said he was leaving us, but now he’s back, voicing Toy Bonnie,” says Afu.

So far, the cast line up for these past two movies has had positive reactions from fans across the world. Many fans are excited to see where this movie will take the plot. “Josh Hutcherson as Mike, is a great job,” says Afu. “Abby is his little sister, is doing a great job.”
